thanksgiving

we have so much to be thankful for and we know it.  we have four wonderful boys who have added wrinkles to our faces, grey hairs to our heads(stew blames some of his on me) and lots of joy to our lives.  we also have great family and friends that love and support us.  thanksgiving was a great time of reflecting and enjoying each other.  it was a very relaxing time and for that i am grateful.
watching isaac perform 5 fat turkeys was near the top of the list of best moments around thanksgiving.  the boy does NOT do hand motions but he sure does like to see his family in the audience.  he kept telling the girl next to him, "really, that's my gaga!"  we were dying.

everyone was excited gaga was there.
then a little class party...

with these amazing turkey hats!  isaac was so excited about his hat he wanted to wear it in the turkey trot that we were planning on skipping this year.  who am i to spoil a kids dream of sporting his turkey hat in the trot?  and so we ran it.

noah was up at 4 am and needed to nap.  poor guy missed his first turkey trot.  thank goodness auntie bonnie was willing to stay behind.

my dad is almost 68 and he beat his best time!

our little turkey's first thanksgiving!

my mom spoils us with an amazing meal!  she does all the work and lets us enjoy it.  thanksgiving is definitely one of my favorite times of the year!

a bit of fun

a little accidental poke to the eye by one of the big brothers.
asher is a huge fan of attention, he gets it from his father;)  fortunately when noah naps he gets plenty of it.

we saw the forum christmas tree up and ready to go!
picked isaac up from school with an umbrella.  he was thrilled to use is on the walk home.  He even said, "thanks mom!  this is a special treat!"
new cast on this guy!  it's a bit shorter and comes with the promos of 3 more weeks :)
a little encinitas street fair for this crew.

anne's here!

we got to see anne!  it's a special treat for our crew when anne comes to town.  the boys haven't seen her in at least a year and they quickly warmed up and wanted anne and her sweet cousins to stay.  such an enjoyable evening of chatting and playing!

noah's 9 months

sweet noah you are a little love.  you love to be around the brothers and want to be included.  your teeth continue to come in and you have made it clear how much you hate it.  we're with you!  you love to stand and cruise around tables and couches.  unfortunately this has led to many falls.  i am still getting up with you in the night.  how a 25 lb child is needing to eat in the night is beyond me, but i can't let you cry.  this too shall pass or i'll definitely go crazy.  the brothers still love to protect you and think you are the greatest.  daddy and i know you are the perfect fit in this family, even with all the fussing over the teeth.  we're keeping you!

bedtime playing

EVERY night this guy calls for me to get in his bed.  truth be told, i love it!  we play, giggle and make a lot of noise.  stew has informed me i get the kids all rowled up at bed time.  i can't help myself.  every so often i bring my phone and we look at pictures from the day.  asher wanted to take a picture this night and this is what we got.
this little piece of heaven is fussy with all the new teeth coming in!  but dang he is cute(like his dad)!

hubby turns 37!

my wonderful husband celebrated another year of life.  we had a bit of an impromptu celebration with some friends.  i think he felt celebrated.

a real highlight was a gift from his friends and my family... a metal detector!  we were both totally surprised(i was surprised a couple days prior)!  let the beach combing begin!

a little islands with the kids before putting them to bed:)

trick or treat

the monday before halloween we met up with some fellow park friends to play.

halloween morning ryder's preschool had a little halloween festival.  so fun to be a part of his party! he loved it...  they handed out bugs:)

halloween night we were low key.  we had our former neighbors and friends over to trick or treat the hood.  these boys collected so much candy.  sadly i confess that i ate most of it.
