encinitas 5k

this was our third year jogging the encinitas 5 k as a family and each year we try to add a new family member;)

we LOVE this community event. stew has actually declared it a montgomery family tradition. such a treat to see so many friends and families out together.

we're trying to teach our children the importance of refueling with nutritious foods. more importantly they got to play with friends.

4 months of l.o.v.e.

time has flown! my little hunky monkey is 4 months old as of this past wednesday.

we have this same shot of the two older characters at this same age. i wasn't sure this shirt was going to fit, but my mom insisted we make it work and it did. he couldn't breathe it was so tight but it was on.

asher means happy/blessing and boy does it fit!

he has the sweetest little personality or at least what we know of it. he could really work on his sleep habits but we're keeping him anyway.

mom's day celebration

we celebrated mother's day on friday and saturday rather than on sunday since our two youngest take naps immediately following church. friday the boys celebrated grandma chris but unfortunately forgot the camera. saturday evening we headed to my parents to celebrate with a bbq. i felt loved and very celebrated! my boys kept wishing me a happy mother's day. not sure they even understand the concept but it made me smile and so they kept it up.

our kids love to play "lick monster" they lick us and then we tickle them. the downside is trying to keep them from playing the game when we're taking pictures.

i can't remember the last time i slept through the night, finished my own meal around the boys or had a whole lot of time to sit down, but little treats like this make it all worth it. stew and the boys surprised me with an amazing video for mother's day.

hayden's 4th birthday!

saturday we celebrated hayden's 4th birthday and it was over the top!
where has the time gone? i remember when hayden was a baby and alli brought him to the baby shower for isaac. i love sweet friendships that continue through the years.

the kids ran a course that ended with them hitting on darth vadar's pinata head. each kid got a couple of swings in before the thing busted open and they all scrambled to grab a toy or two.

can you tell these kids were excited about the cake?! if you look closely you can see ryder's arm reaching towards the cake. this is the point where he dragged his fingers through the frosting.

happy mother's day to the world's greatest mom! i am only now realizing some of the sacrifices my mom has made over the years and i am ever so grateful.

my mom has only gotten better with time and she was amazing to start with!
