the nelsons invited us to join them at the zoo on saturday. our boys had never been and stew and i hadn't been since we were kids. it was amazing! here are a few of our favorite photos from the day.

the sea otter was the big hit. that thing kept swimming by and the boys would say "woah" everytime.
it was like their own private show
please note the nasty rat-like creature in the tree.
of course nobody wanted to sit in the stroller.
ryder was amazed by the gorillas. he was ready to climb in.
the men took one for the team and pushed the strollers up the hill to the elephants.
crazy that these gorgeous peacocks were just roaming free.
at last the elephants!
we're pretty sure isaac's favorite animal is an elephant. he loves to tell us that they spray water on themselves when they are hot. unfortunately while we were there i pointed out that the elephant was peeing. when you ask isaac what he saw at the zoo he says, "elephant potty."
ryder wanted to be included in the picture taking. if isaac does something so does ryder.
we were kind of hoping you would be able to see the elephants in this shot.
isaac squeezed through the crowd to his front row spot to hear and see more about the elephants.
and at last we were all pooped!
