for isaac's birthday auntie hooked him up with his own shovels and potting soil. you can see this boy was thrilled with his first birthday gift of the year. i am pretty sure these potting utensils will be used as a weapon at some point- watch out.

thursday evening the creighton family invited us over to play with their goats and hen. as you can see from the photos the boys had the time of their lives petting these sweet animals and squishing goat poop between their fingers (no, i am not kidding about the poop).

grammy invited us over to give isaac his birthday gifts a couple days early. the real treat was isaac's gift of money towards his new hearing aid(those things aren't cheap). it's a tiny little hearing aid that fits perfectly behind his ear and gives him the ability to hear at normal level. throughout isaac's life we've seen God provide for us in many ways, often through friends, family and strangers. i am so quick to forget how faithful God is and get wrapped up in the trivial things of life (ask my poor husband). my almost 3 year old little boy is such a gift and a constant reminder that God is in control and has great things in store for our family. we can't wait to celebrate his 3rd birthday!
