too good to be true

this morning we had some old friends over to play.  it was good to catch up and discuss life.  we both used to follow a blogger who is a true artist and amazing writer.  the bummer is that neither of us keep up with her anymore.  not because her pictures aren't amazing or because she's dropped off in her writing skills.  we've taken a break from her blog because it seems too good to be true.  it's missing the account of all the "other" things that go on in her daily life.  true, she's a famous blogger so much of her life needs to be kept personal, but i love and respect those people who are willing to throw it all out there.  it takes guts and confidence.  today was a reminder to me that i want our family blog(our account  of what goes on in our daily life) to be more than the pretty fluff.  i want to look back in years to come and remember how we've grown from things and how we've changed.  a good story includes it all and i want my boys to read about this good story.
