i also found this photo from a little over a week ago. grandma chris brought over magical "beans". they turned into animals once they soaked in the water. the boys thought this was awesome!
a few weeks ago i snapped this shot. i am in l.o.v.e.
8 months old and 20.1 lbs(according to our last doc visit) of love. poor little guy has already had two ear infections, 4 teeth join his mouth and plenty of runny noses.
wednesday afternoon, andy and julie popped over for a few hours. it was such a treat to chat and relax(at least while my boys were sleeping and in quiet time). i can remember when bradley and ryder were babies and just meeting. love sweet friendships!
7 month difference is huge at this point, but will shortly be no big deal.
baby asher and his 4 teeth went after baby andy. watch out!
last wednesday we were invited to join a group at the little carlsbad airport for a tour. the boys were super excited. we love to come up and watch the airplanes take off and land but we'd never been behind the scenes. thank you tami!
isaac was certain he did NOT want to get into the fire truck and then ryder didn't want to. go figure. ryder ended up coming around on the idea and wanted to look inside.
the southcombe girls in action!
the true highlight was the up close and personal of a real airplane. my boys were both anxious and excited. isaac kept telling me he was NOT getting in. got. it.
the moms had their cameras ready.
and this is about the point when i realized i left my baby alone as the airplane headed in our direction. and yes, it was scary LOUD! parent fail!
happy birthday auntie allison! last sunday we celebrated my sister and her wonderful life. we are grateful for you sister! i loved these photos of you and the boys.
my parents have these in their backyard and i think they are my new favorite flower. LOVE the colors and the uniqueness!
living social offered a great deal on apple picking at the raven hill orchard. and you know we try not to pass up a great deal. the boys were thrilled to pick their own apples off of trees. a first for them! (thanks for organizing, karen!)
we ate our way through the orchard.
this is what a family shot looks like when you have girls... and this is what it looks like with boys... we forced the kids to get into a group shot. i always love that no one is looking at the same camera, only a couple are smiling and my child is stealing apples from keeva's basket. amazing!
this was more real life :)
when you're three minutes away from julian you HAVE to go. right?
everyone bought treats. apparently the apples were too healthy and we needed a little sugar high;) the whole gang the kids found owls in a store window and that was soon a main attraction.
we promised the kids ice cream and this cute little parlor delivered!
a couple of us picked up some fresh pie on our way out. delicious!
