some of the best years of my life were spent working with high school students and more importantly a small group of girls. it was in those years that i started to find who i would become and what would be important to me. these girls were a huge part of that and i am so grateful for them. that's probably why i LOVE getting to see them and squeeze them in person. katherine was down visiting from san francisco and it was so great to see her. i can barely believe "my girls" are old enough to have jobs and be on their own. i feel like it was just the other day that we were sitting around my apartment, eating brownies out of the pan and laughing about who knows what. life really does fly when you're having fun!
